In 2019 we have improved and expanded our Aquila series, a favorite of boat fishing enthusiasts since its launch. With the polarization of anchovy and tuna fishing in recent years, we have focused on improving the line’s performance in specific situations. To meet the challenge of developing new models never before seen, we have introduced a total of nine new products in our new product line. We have categorized these new products into four series: ST, MLT, MST, and EX.

– **ST Series**: The most standard model, balanced in all aspects and refined for a wide range of conditions and targets.
– **MLT Series**: Combines a supple top section with a strong bottom section, ideal for targeting large fish with lightweight jigs.
– **MST Series**: A time-honored favorite designed for powerful fishing of large goldfish.
– **EX Model**: For the first time, a 3-stage action rod has been added.

The new Aquila series is designed to push the limits of angling. This is accomplished by pursuing features such as better lifting power, easier bait handling, superior casting ability, and flexibility in combat. We don’t just make rods with “power”; we make tools with practical “power”.

The Akira MLT series, in particular, is designed specifically for target fish that prey on small and very small bait such as whitebait, and is suitable for situations where anglers must make full use of lightweight tools or where sensitivity to boats and long casting are required. The new generation rod design incorporates conflicting functionalities to realize power to cast and control lightweight baits and catch big fish while taking control of the fight, making it ideal for such situations. PE #2 in the head section and PE #4 in the tail section, this model allows anglers to accurately cast and control small to very small lures, making it ideal for targeting wrasse as a staple food.

-The ST and EX models offer the most standardized bending curves and are effective for all species (blue runners and light GTs).
-The MLT series is designed for compression and high frame strength for kingfish and tuna.
-The MST series is designed for larger fish such as large kings, tuna, and GTs.

There are a few things to keep in mind when fighting:
-Avoid high-strength, high-lifting rod handling with the ST, MST, and EX series. To take full advantage of the rod’s strength, we recommend adjusting the body position so that the weight is evenly distributed;
Comparatively, the MLT foam supports high lifts from low angles.
