In 2019 we have carefully refined and expanded the Aquila series to make it familiar to anglers as a boat fishing and baitcasting tool. In recent years, tuna and marlin fishing has become more fragmented, and we have tailored our product lineup to focus on the high-performance needs of each situation. The new Eagle Series lineup includes nine models in four series: ST, MLT, MST, and EX.

The ST series is the most standard model, carefully tuned and balanced to handle all situations and target species; the MLT series combines a softer tip with a tougher grip section for catching larger fish with lighter hooks and lines; the MST series is the most popular model, with a softer tip and tougher grip section for catching larger fish with lighter hooks and lines; and the EX series is the most popular model, with a softer tip and tougher grip section for catching larger fish with softer hooks and lines. The MST series is the former flagship model, which is specialized for catching huge tuna and pursues big power and strength. Also new is the EX Series, a portable, three-section dart rod for anglers who travel the world.

### Eagle ST 78-3 Series
Designed for easy handling and casting, this 7’8″ (1780mm total length) short rod is especially suited for small to mid-sized boats. Its stiff tip allows for elegant handling and casting of small topwater devices. It is especially suitable for chasing salmon, sunfish, and blue salmon, which require precise manipulation of light line devices.

For the new Aquila MLT, catching big target fish with a lighter than normal power setting is a great option. The responsive and flexible tip allows the angler to release a wider range of weighted lures without problems, and once hooked, the MTL rod bends smoothly and withstands the fish as one piece. Once hooked by a fish, the MTL rod bends smoothly in unison, withstanding the violent attack of a huge blue mahi and maintaining high angle control. Thus, you can always keep enough pressure on your opponent to increase your chances of winning.
The EX line employs smooth continuous curvature changes for optimum performance. Despite being composed of multiple sections, the sharpness and balance hidden in the hollow core allow anglers to feel comfortable as if they were holding only a single section in their hands.

### Overview of Striking Characteristics
Depending on the model, each rod exhibits unique characteristics in a fight.
-The ST and EX models have the most standard curve design and are well balanced.
– The MLT version (e.g., MLT 82-3/6) can be bent to a high angle for better load distribution and is suitable for flagship knockdowns and swallows.
– The MST can also be used to control large targets that require extreme drag settings, such as giant tunnels and large gold and silver eels.

### Caution.
When fighting with ST/MST or EX models, careful handling is recommended, as loading from a low position with a counterweight will maximize performance, rather than aiming for a high angle. Conversely, when using the MLT model, it is possible to make large movements from a low position, which is very advantageous for professional users.
